October 1st 2017 KAL - Skulloween Cloth

This is a seasonal picture cloth.

October 1st 2017 KAL:
I recommend white, black, orange or any solid color.  I used white for this one.
I will post the photos on the blog and notify everyone when they are added.
This is a Picture Cloth.

Using Lifelines will help with any project. If you aren't sure what that is, there is plenty of info on the Internet about it but it is basically where you put thread or thin yarn through a row already worked, designating that all the rows to that point are error free. You should document what row you put the lifeline in so you have a point of reference. If you make any error after that point, you know you are OK with the previous rows anyway.

Any questions?  Just send a note to the group and we will answer for you.
This KAL is a Picture cloth.

Rosie Welcomes You to the September Challenge KAL!

Today I'm giving you a unique pattern - it is given as a square that is be used for a blanket/afghan.  [Actually, nearly any blanket/afghan square can be used for a dishcloth - just try it!]
She shows you how to make multiple squares to connect together as you knit them.

This pattern designer asks for no copies to be made and/or posted of her pattern - but she welcomes links directly to her pattern [given, below] - c. 2003, Patti Pierce Stone

Supplies for the Knit 'Granny' Square - note: color of yarn is up to you, solid will work best - to see the pattern clearly - if you want to show off the color, then a variegated yarn will look nice too.
Below are my own pix - one I did in variegated, the other is in process, using self-striping yarn.

Supplies:
- size 9 needles
- 1/2 oz DK/light worsted wt yarn

Now, since we are using this pattern for a dishcloth, you will want to use cotton yarn; you can also adjust your needle size to what you prefer to use for your dishcloths.

The pattern can be found at:

 Knit 'Granny' Square

Happy Knitting!
