July 1st 2017 KAL

Rosie says, I'm a Princess today, and ready to Knit !

Day 2 -
July 1st 2017 KAL
"The Eagle Has Landed" designed by Elaine Fitzpatrick - see below for her website to obtain this pattern and MANY others too!

Hope everyone has their pattern - anyone finished yet?  it's a quick knit, with just knits and purls - I used a new yarn, Yarnspirations Caron Cotton Cakes in a self-striping colors of Red White Blue- the color name is Maritimes.   It's a nice yarn, drapes well for a soft dishcloth, not stiff or bulky.  It is a # 4 medium yarn, 60% cotton, 40% acrylic.  I would rather buy USA made yarn, but thought I'd take a look at how this knits up -
Please, post your finished cloths on our yahoo albums so we can all see them -
Have a Happy Fourth of July holiday ~

July 1st 2017 KAL - Day 1

What you need:
# 6 knitting needles, to make an 8 x 8 inch dishcloth
1 [ONE] skein of cotton yarn, solid color of your choice,
Note:  to make it a la` July 4th/patriotic use 1 skein of  Red OR White OR Blue

This is a PICTURE cloth -
NOTE: you want fabric to be fairly dense so design will *pop* out -  if you are a loose knitter, you may want to drop down a needle size

This pattern uses Knit [K] and Purl [P] stitches [st].

Pattern info:

With your chosen size needles and one skein of yarn [color, your choice],
cast on 37 stitches.
